Jose Mourinho has officially commenced his second tenure as Real Madrid manager ahead of the club's preseason medical examinations at the Valdebebas training complex.
The Portuguese manager shared an image of himself in Real Madrid training gear on social media to signal his return to the Spanish club.
"Vamos," Mourinho said.
Mourinho arrived in Madrid to organize internal operations alongside his newly appointed coaching staff, which includes assistant coaches Joao Tralhao, Pedro Machado, Roberto Merella, and former German international Sami Khedira, alongside current staff members Luis Llopis and Antonio Pintus.
"We are working hard. It's not that I arrive here today and everything starts.
We have been working hard for a long time with the club's structure at different levels," Mourinho said.
"Today you can work without being present because technology helps us a lot, and today has practically been about arriving and 'controlling' everything that has been done and what we still have to do."
The manager emphasized that his return represents a broader organizational duty rather than personal achievement as the club prepares for upcoming friendly matches, including an August 1 fixture against Fiorentina in Austria and the Teresa Herrera Trophy against Deportivo de A Coruna on August 12.
"Words are not enough because it is like a mission.
It is not like being worried about myself or whether I am going to win a lot or a little.
I am here to help everyone be better: players, staff… To create a culture of work, responsibility, ambition, and something that I know well, which is the responsibility and honor of working for Real Madrid," Mourinho said.
"I really like this concept. It is not working at Real Madrid, it is working for Real Madrid.
And it is with this spirit of mission that I am here."
Initial training sessions will proceed without players who participated in the World Cup, leaving only a small group of first-team players available alongside academy prospects from Real Madrid Castilla, while Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, and Rodrygo continue recovering from injuries.
"We must take advantage of the next two weeks with positivity because obviously I would like to have all the players here.
You have to look at it in a positive way, which is getting to know the boys I'm going to work with and for them to have the opportunity to get to know me," Mourinho said.
"During the preseason many of these boys are going to be here in Castilla and I also like to participate and help the growth of this area."

Official media presentations for the new coaching staff are scheduled to take place following the conclusion of the World Cup tournament.
