A record-breaking crowd of 27,500 music fans gathered at Hill Farm in Steventon for the 2026 edition of Truck Festival, held from July 23 to July 26.
Oxfordshire's largest music festival featured headline performances from indie acts including The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, and The Wombats.
Early access ticket holders arrived on Thursday ahead of the main schedule and were entertained by Irish artist CMAT on the main stage.
The sold-out gathering took place during one of the warmest and driest UK summers in living memory, prompting safety precautions from event administrators.
Organizers Prioritize Safety in Heat
"It's the biggest one we've done, but we're all very excited," said Jasmine Dunston, Festival coordinator.
Dunston noted the scale of the growing gathering with a lighthearted comment. "You could call it a 'monster Truck'," said Dunston.
Addressing the high summer temperatures, event management prioritized hydration and protection protocols across the venue grounds.
"We're encouraging people to drink water, seek shade when you can and look after your fellow truckers," said Dunston.
Organizers ensured skin protection resources were available throughout the site for attendees.
"Most importantly, make sure you wear sunblock - we've got a little bit of after sun if needed," said Dunston.
Event leadership confirmed that public safety measures were fully implemented prior to opening the gates to the record crowds.
"working to all the guidance and regulations that are needed to make sure it is safe for everyone this year," said Dunston.
Attendees Praise Atmosphere and Lineup
Attendees expressed enthusiasm for the event's distinct atmosphere and nostalgic lineup. "the atmosphere," said one group from Windsor.
The group noted that the manageable scale of the event made navigating the grounds simple.
"It's nice because it's a slightly smaller festival so everything's closer by and it's just a lot easier.
It's great fun," said the group from Windsor.
Other visitors highlighted the welcoming environment and music selection featured throughout the weekend. "just so chill," said another pair of visitors.
The pair noted that the scheduled performances brought back memories from their younger years.
"It's family vibes and the music is always good - it's like throwbacks this year for us from when we were in our teens so that's exciting," said the pair of visitors.
Attendees came prepared for the hot weather, with one festivalgoer noting they brought sunscreen and cold drinks to stay cool.
Organizers subsequently hailed the overall 2026 event as the festival's biggest and best edition to date.
