Holly Willoughby has admitted to feeling jealous after learning about Katherine Ryan's pregnancy last year.
The television presenter revealed that the news made her wish she had expanded her own family.
Willoughby shared the admission during the second episode of her new YouTube show, Together.
Speaking with Ryan, the 45-year-old former ITV star reflected on her family, noting that her children are growing up and becoming teenagers.
Willoughby is a mother to Chester, 11, Belle, 15, and Harry, 17.
Ryan gave birth to her daughter Holland in October 2025, alongside her older children Fenna, Fred, and Violet.
Willoughby noted that the opportunity to have a fourth child had passed. Expressing her feelings during the show, she discussed her initial reaction to Ryan's pregnancy news.
"When I heard you were pregnant and having another one, I was like, 'Maybe I should, maybe I should' I was so jealous that you were doing it because I was like, 'I should have done it.'"
The discussion also touched on the challenges of raising older children as they gain independence. Willoughby shared her perspective on watching her children grow into teenagers.
"I feel the pulling away and I find it really hard, I find that bit really, really difficult."
She elaborated on her transition into this new phase of parenting during the conversation.
"My kids are like the best thing that I've done, they're the best thing, I just look at them and I go, 'Well done.'
They are pretty brilliant, but they are now getting teenagery and I'm like okay you're going to go and have a life without me."
The new YouTube series marks Willoughby's return to public broadcasting following her departure from This Morning. Her exit occurred after she was the target of a kidnapping plot.
Her former co-host Phillip Schofield had exited the show five months prior after admitting to lying about a relationship with a younger colleague.
During a conversation about online criticism and public opinion, Willoughby addressed the pressures of public life.
"It's like a really horrendous game of pass the parcel."
She further explained the anxiety surrounding public backlash in modern media culture.
"You're waiting for it to land on you but instead of opening it up and it being a present you open it up and it's someone's s*** in your hands."
Despite having a platform that allows for open discussion, Willoughby admitted that sharing her personal views remains intimidating.
"I definitely don't like upsetting anybody, I think I've always been like that."
She concluded her thoughts by describing the difficulty of navigating public discourse.
"I do think that the nature of what I do, you like to see both sides of anything, of any argument and then what happens is you don't end up really having an opinion on anything as you see both sides of everything.
Which is tricky.
And also I think I'm probably so terrified to say anything wrong because if you get it wrong the backlash is so huge, right?"
