Tesla has raised the price of two Cybertruck variants by $5,000, even as sales continue to disappoint.
The Dual Motor AWD now starts at $74,990, up from $69,990, while the Premium AWD climbs to $84,990.
No other changes to the models have been announced.
Sales Struggles Continue
Third-party estimates show Cybertruck sales fell 48% in 2025 to 20,237 units.
First-quarter 2026 sales dropped 45% year-over-year to 3,519, according to Cox Automotive.
These figures are far below CEO Elon Musk's earlier suggestion of potential annual demand exceeding 250,000 units.
Pricing Roller Coaster
The Cybertruck's pricing has been volatile since its late 2024 debut.
A cheaper Dual Motor version was offered at $59,990 in February 2026 as a short-lived promotion.
That price later returned to $69,990 and has now risen to $74,990.
The single-motor Cybertruck, briefly available in 2025, was quickly discontinued due to weak demand.
Cyberbeast Unaffected
The flagship Cyberbeast trim escapes the price increase, remaining at $99,990.
With the Premium AWD now only $15,000 below the Cyberbeast, the top model may seem more attractive.
Tesla has shifted focus to other projects like Optimus robots and the Cybercab robotaxi.
The Cybertruck appears to be fading away, a reminder that not every venture succeeds.
