Pete Wicks has confirmed he has no immediate plans to propose to Olivia Attwood, even after making their relationship official on social media.
The reality television star addressed the speculation during an appearance on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden.
Asked whether the public declaration signalled an upcoming proposal, the 37-year-old former TOWIE cast member gave a direct answer about their timeline.
"Not any time soon," Wicks said.
Holden noted that the couple had formally documented their relationship online, a rare public step for Wicks.
"You have gone though Instagram official. We yeah, we have.
And this is something you've never ever done, according to Liv," she said.
From Friendship to a Committed Relationship
Wicks explained that their long-standing friendship evolved into a romantic bond after they spent more individual time together outside of public events earlier in the year.
"Liv and I have known each other for for a long time, and yeah, like it's amazing.
She's like my best friend, but also someone I really fancy," he said.
He described how the shift from platonic acquaintances to a committed couple unfolded over recent months.
"We'd always kind of been friends, but you kind of see people, you know, events and and whatever else you want to get on, but we just started spending a little bit more time together this year, and and and the kind of that was that was it," Wicks said.
Addressing his current commitment level, he confirmed he is fully dedicated to the partnership.
"I mean, I've gone all in," he said.
The relationship has also integrated their personal lives, including blending their pets into a shared household routine with Attwood's Rottweiler and Caucasian Shepherd.
"They're good as gold. So Rodney's got a couple of sisters now, Stitch and Lola," Wicks said.
Wicks also shared lighthearted family dynamics, revealing an uncomplimentary nickname given to him during a recent trip to Saint Tropez with Attwood's sister and brother-in-law.
"We were on holiday.
We were in Saint Tropez a couple of months ago with her sister and her sister's husband, and her sister has started calling me Pee Wee, and she knows I hate it," he said.
He noted that the moniker has persisted despite his reluctance to adopt it at his age.
"So now, so now it's just Pee Wee," Wicks said, adding: "It's just not great for for a new 40 year old man to be called Pee Wee, is it?
Let's be honest with you."
