The Los Angeles Chargers ruled out wide receiver Ladd McConkey with a concussion during their Week 6 game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

McConkey exited in the first half after making a 17-yard reception. He finished with one catch for 17 yards before the team announced he would not return.

According to NBC Sports, McConkey entered the blue medical tent before being assisted to the locker room.

The Chargers then ruled him out for the remainder of the contest.

Receiver Room Thins Further for Los Angeles

The injury compounded Los Angeles' receiving concerns because Tre Harris was already sidelined.

With both players unavailable, the Chargers leaned more heavily on Quentin Johnston and other available receivers.

Johnston and the remaining wideouts faced increased responsibility as the game against Kansas City continued.

Neither Yahoo Sports nor NBC Sports provided a confirmed timetable for McConkey's return or further details on the severity of the concussion.
