Young bowlers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain led the defensive effort by claiming two wickets each.
Their performance limited Chennai Super Kings to 180/7 in the first innings.
Hussain, an uncapped 21-year-old right-arm pacer from Bihar, dismissed batsman Urvil Patel.
He has taken six wickets across three matches this season with an economy rate of 7.08 after bowling 12 overs.
Ishan Kishan anchored the chase with 70 runs off 47 deliveries. Heinrich Klaasen contributed 47 runs to shift momentum during the middle overs and complete the chase.
"A lot of credit goes to Praful Hinge and Sakib Husain because both of them are very eager to learn and aim to play for India," said Varun Aaron, Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling coach, on JioHotstar.
Aaron noted that the coaching staff began specialized preparation camps with the duo nearly two months before the tournament.
The training focused on developing different technical aspects of their bowling.
"When young players have that kind of ambition, dedication and hard work follow naturally.
Both of them put in a lot of effort, not just during the tournament but also in the lead-up to the IPL.
Our preparations with them started almost two months before the season. We organized specialized camps and worked closely on different aspects of their bowling," Aaron stated.
