DarkState emerged victorious in a tag team match on NXT, overcoming both their opponents and internal discord.

The faction has been plagued by friction in recent months, stemming from Dion Lennox's decision to relinquish his NXT Tag Team Championship half to pursue singles competition.

This move sparked resentment from Saquon Shugars.

During Night 1 of NXT Revenge, Lennox failed to capture the NXT North American Championship from Myles Borne.

On the May 19 episode of NXT, DarkState lost to Vanity Project in a tag title match.

After that defeat, Cutler James and Osiris Griffin attacked Shugars, with Lennox joining the assault to remove him from the group.

Despite defeating Lennox two weeks ago, Borne remained a target and was ambushed by DarkState last week.

Outnumbered, Borne partnered with Tavion Heights, his former stablemate from the No Quarter Catch Crew.

Tension existed between them, as Borne had previously questioned Heights' blindside attack on Tony D'Angelo.

Before the scheduled match, Shugars emerged to attack James during DarkState's entrance. Order was restored, and the match began with Lennox and Borne starting.

Borne executed a headlock before tagging in Heights, who unleashed kicks and a headbutt on Griffin.

Borne and Heights delivered a double dropkick, but momentum shifted when Lennox tagged back in and executed a backbreaker.

Griffin subbed in to deliver heavy offense, keeping Borne isolated. Lennox continued the assault with stomps and a ground slam with Griffin's help.

Heights eventually tagged in and executed a high-energy sequence of punches and tosses.

However, after Heights was thrown into the turnbuckle and hoisted onto Griffin's shoulders, Lennox dove off the ropes to secure the pinfall victory.
