Victor Wembanyama paced the Spurs with 32 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and two steals.

Stephon Castle added 23 points, including a crucial late three-pointer, while De'Aaron Fox sealed the win with a late runner in the lane.

Jalen Brunson led New York with 32 points, five rebounds, and five assists. OG Anunoby contributed 28 points for the hosts.

Trump's Presence Draws Controversy

The game drew a high-profile audience that included President Donald Trump, who attended with family members, White House officials, and Knicks owner James Dolan.

Trump's presence sparked controversy online and inside the arena. Heightened security caused lengthy entry delays, and fans booed when the president appeared on the jumbotron.

Social media users alleged that Trump fell asleep during the game in his private suite.

The anti-Trump Lincoln Project posted on X, calling it "the most expensive taxpayer funded nap."

Activist Amy Siskind wrote, "OMG, after ALL THAT, Trump is sleeping at the Knicks game!"

She added, "Couldn’t he have saved everyone the trouble and ‘watch it on television?’"

Another commenter said, "Trump so evil... came to ruin the fan experience just to sleep at the Knicks game."

The Independent has contacted the White House for comment on the assertions.
