San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo extended his Major League Baseball-best hitting streak to 16 games after a four-hit performance on Monday at Oracle Park.
Despite Lee's offensive display, the Giants blew a late lead and lost 4-3 to the Washington Nationals, according to the Korea Times.

Lee finished 4-for-5 with two runs scored, lifting his batting average from . 323 to .
333, the second-best average in the majors.
He has recorded five games with at least four hits this season, four of which came during his active 16-game streak.
Over the streak, he is batting . 508 with 32 hits in 63 at-bats.
After lining out in the first inning, Lee singled in the fourth to keep the streak alive.

He added a single in the sixth and scored on a Matt Chapman single to tie the game at 1-1.
In the eighth, Lee hit an infield single, overturning an initial out call via a Giants challenge.
He later scored the go-ahead run on a Bryce Eldridge double after advancing on a pickoff error.
The Giants took a 3-1 lead in the eighth, but the Nationals scored three runs in the top of the ninth to go ahead 4-3.

Lee singled with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, but closer Gus Varland struck out Eldridge to end the game.
