Thieves stole the England men's national football team's match boots and other equipment in Kansas City before their opening World Cup training session on Saturday afternoon.
The theft occurred while the team's gear was being transported from their pre-tournament base in West Palm Beach, Florida, to the training camp at Swope Soccer Village in Missouri.

Stolen items include footwear belonging to star players, official tournament footballs, and essential training equipment, according to The Guardian.
The Football Association has contacted local police departments to recover the cargo but declined to comment on the incident.
The theft creates an immediate logistical challenge for manager Thomas Tuchel as he prepares the squad for their opening Group L fixture against Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday.
