The Algerian national soccer team conducted a public training session and youth clinic on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kansas.
The event was part of the team's preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The squad arrived in Lawrence on Sunday and is using the University of Kansas soccer facility as its tournament base camp.
Algeria will open group play against defending champion Argentina on Tuesday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
A large crowd of local residents, families, and Algerian fans watched the players complete an hour of stretching, passing, and shooting drills.
Afterward, the team interacted with spectators and led local youth athletes through soccer skills stations.
University of Kansas Deputy Athletic Director Jason Booker said the community engagement fulfilled a tournament requirement set by soccer's governing body.
He noted that the university's marketing and game-day staff structured the event similarly to a standard football or soccer game day.
Booker recalled seeing cars lined up with Algerian flags on the highway after a baseball game Sunday night.
He said tournament organizers had planned for the arrival but did not fully anticipate the scale of the public reception at the team hotel.
"So that was pretty cool," Booker said.
Booker added that the Algerian staff expressed gratitude for the local hospitality during their busy schedule, which included tours of Allen Fieldhouse, David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, and Hoglund Ballpark.
