Feyenoord has completed the signing of 19-year-old attacking midfielder Resley Kessels from VVV-Venlo. The Rotterdam club announced the transfer on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
Kessels joins on a free transfer after his contract with VVV-Venlo expired at the end of the 2025/2026 season.

He has signed a deal with Feyenoord until mid-2028, with an option for an additional year.
The versatile midfielder, who can also play on both wings, will initially join the Feyenoord Under-21 squad for the upcoming football year.
The club confirmed this through its official channels.
Career Path
Kessels began his football journey at SC Leeuwen in Roermond before joining the youth academy of VVV-Venlo.
He progressed through the ranks to the reserve team and made his professional debut during the 2024/2025 season.

He earned his first starting position against SC Cambuur on February 28, 2025. In the 2024/2025 season, he made three appearances in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
During the 2025/2026 campaign, Kessels was selected for the first-team matchday squad twice but did not receive any playing time.
Speaking to the club website after signing, Kessels expressed his excitement. "I am incredibly happy and proud to make the move to Feyenoord," he said.
