The Los Angeles Angels have acquired catcher Tyler Heineman from the Toronto Blue Jays, the teams announced Wednesday.
The deal was made in exchange for cash considerations.

Heineman, a veteran backstop, recently participated in a fundraising event for the Swift Current 57's.
He appeared alongside Blue Jays broadcaster Jamie Campbell as a special guest at the Field of Dreams banquet in February.
The event drew 250 attendees and provided a chance for fans to meet a member of the 2025 American League championship team.
Heineman expressed appreciation for the interaction with Blue Jays supporters.

"It's really cool to be able to interact with [Blue Jays fans]," Heineman said.
He noted that playing for a team representing an entire nation offers a unique perspective on the fanbase's reach beyond Toronto.
"Being only in the city, in Toronto, it's difficult to know how wide of a scope you have of influence, being a team that a whole country is represented by...
I think it's pretty cool to see how many people care about the Blue Jays and how many more people re-sparked their interest in baseball from the year we had," Heineman added.

The trade sends Heineman to the Angels' organization as he continues his MLB career.
