Renault has unveiled a facelifted version of the Megane E-Tech Electric, featuring a redesigned front end inspired by the Captur and Symbioz models.

The update brings a sharper, less rounded appearance.

The most significant mechanical change is a new 67 kWh usable LFP battery, replacing the previous 60 kWh pack.

This increases WLTP range from 285 miles to 310 miles and raises peak DC charging speed to 165 kW, enabling a 15-80% charge in about 24 minutes.

However, the larger battery adds a slight penalty to acceleration. The 0-62 mph time now takes 7.6 seconds, up from 7.5 seconds.

Renault has retuned the steering and suspension to compensate, so the difference may be imperceptible in everyday driving.

Updated Interior and Trim Levels

Inside, the twin-screen dashboard remains physically unchanged but gains Google Gemini integration within the OpenR Link system.

Over 100 downloadable apps are now available, and a driver-recognition feature automatically loads personal settings.

The range has been simplified to Techno and Esprit Alpine trims, both with more standard equipment than before.

New wheel designs and a Satin Blue paint option are also offered.

While the update does not deliver the hot hatch CEO Fabrice Cambolive hinted at, it makes the Megane EV more appealing with improved range, charging, and technology.
