The Brooklyn Nets selected former Iowa State forward Joshua Jefferson with the 28th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft on June 23.

The 22-year-old adds a consensus All-American to the franchise roster.

According to official measurements from the NBA Combine, Jefferson stands at 6 feet, 7.75 inches without shoes and weighs 246 pounds.

He possesses a 6-foot-10.75 wingspan and an 8-foot-8.5 standing reach.

During his senior season, Jefferson averaged 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists across 35 appearances.

The Des Moines Register reported that he led all power-conference frontcourt players with a 27.8% assist rate.

Jefferson established himself as a versatile player, showcasing improved perimeter shooting by converting 34.5% of his three-point attempts last season.

Defensively, he possesses the capability to switch and guard multiple positions on the floor.

Despite his collegiate success, testing at the NBA Combine in May revealed some athletic limitations among his peers.

Jefferson tied for 70th out of 78 participants with a 27-inch standing vertical leap.

His 33-inch maximum vertical leap tied for 64th place during the event.

Furthermore, Jefferson ranked 71st in the three-quarter court sprint and finished 78th in the pro lane agility drill.
