San Diego responded with five runs in the bottom of the second, driven by RBI singles from Rodolfo Durán, Sung-Mun Song, and Fernando Tatis Jr., alongside a two-run single by Samad Taylor.
Atlanta tied the game in the fourth inning through an Ozzie Albies double and took a brief 6-5 lead in the fifth via a Mauricio Dubón solo home run.

However, Tatis hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to level the score for San Diego.
On the mound, San Diego reliever Mason Miller earned the win after striking out three batters over the final two innings.
Braves rookie starter JR Ritchie pitched five innings, allowing five hits and four walks while striking out seven.

Looking ahead, the Braves will start left-hander Martin Perez on Wednesday against Padres right-hander Randy Vasquez to conclude the series.
