Air Force Thunderbirds are scheduled to conduct a valley-wide flyover in Las Vegas on Saturday, June 27, 2026, marking the start of the seventh annual Battle for Vegas charity softball game and honoring the nation's 250th anniversary.
The aerial display will feature a six-aircraft delta formation taking off from Nellis Air Force Base at 7:15 p.
m. , according to the squadron and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
The flight path includes a north-to-south pass over the Las Vegas Strip from 7:20 p. m.
to 7:22 p. m.
, followed by a south-to-north pass until 7:25 p. m.
, with the jets reaching the Las Vegas Ballpark at approximately 7:30 p. m.
The route also covers coordinates over the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center, Lone Mountain, Red Rock Canyon, Mt.
Charleston, and Boulder City before landing back at the base at 8:00 p. m.
Battle for Vegas Charity Game
The flyover serves as the official kickoff for the Battle for Vegas event at the Las Vegas Ballpark.
Gates open at 6:00 p. m.
ahead of a Home Run Derby and an 8:00 p. m.
celebrity softball game.
Vegas Golden Knights forward Reilly Smith and Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers will captain the opposing rosters.
The teams include professional athletes, and Nick Carter will perform the national anthem.
Team Smith features hockey players Carter Hart, Adin Hill, Shea Theodore, Keegan Kolesar, Trevor Connelly, Braeden Bowman, William Karlsson, Alexander Holtz, and Ryan Reaves.
Team Bowers comprises football players Eric Stokes, Mike Washington, Keyron Crawford, Kwity Paye, Jack Bech, Jalen Nailor, Jonah Laulu, and Kirk Morrison.
Since 2019, the event has raised over $1.2 million.
Proceeds from the 2026 game will benefit the Battle For Vegas Foundation, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada, and Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.
Due to forecasted high winds, a planned display of the large American flag at the Hoover Dam will be postponed until Tuesday, June 30, 2026, when the jets travel to Washington, D.
C.
