The transaction places the academy product among the most expensive departures in Real Madrid's history.

Complex Buy-Back Arrangement

According to reports from mundodeportivo. com, the overall deal involved a complex buy-back arrangement.

Real Madrid initially reacquired the player from Como for 9 million euros before immediately completing the larger 60 million euro sale.

This resulted in a net profit of 51 million euros for the Spanish club.

Fifth Highest Sale in Club History

The transfer fee makes Paz the fifth highest sale in Real Madrid's history. It surpasses the 47 million euro fee paid by Arsenal for Mesut Özil in 2014.
