Real Madrid initially reacquired the player from Como for 9 million euros before immediately completing the larger 60 million euro sale.

The transfer fee makes Paz the fifth highest sale in Real Madrid's history. It surpasses the 47 million euro fee paid by Arsenal for Mesut Özil in 2014.
