Liverpool FC has instructed Italian winger Federico Chiesa to find a new club ahead of the upcoming season, according to a report on June 28, 2026.

The 28-year-old international has struggled to secure regular playing time at Anfield.

According to Football Insider, the club informed Chiesa that he needs to locate a new employer.

The winger played just 318 minutes of Premier League football last season, contributing three goals and three assists overall.

The Reds are expected to sanction the departure of the Italian attacker for a fee ranging between £10 million and £15 million.

A return to Serie A remains a possible destination for the player.

New signings have further complicated Chiesa's future at Anfield.

Liverpool secured Victor Munoz from Osasuna this summer and is currently pursuing Yan Diomande, reducing the Italian's chances of breaking into the squad.

Despite limited playing time, the Italian winger maintained strong respect within the dressing room from his teammates. Virgil van Dijk described him as "amazing."

The club now expects the player and his representatives to prioritize finding an employer willing to offer regular starts to reignite his career.
