PSV Eindhoven kicked off their pre-season preparations on Monday amid intense transfer speculation surrounding several key players.

According to Eindhovens Dagblad, release clauses for Sergiño Dest (€23 million), Mauro Júnior (€12 million), and Joey Veerman (€20 million) will expire by mid-July, pressuring interested clubs to act quickly.

Club watcher Rik Elfrink noted that Mauro remains in Eindhoven for now, indicating that clubs are not rushing to trigger his clause.

“Mauro is still ‘just’ in Eindhoven, which makes it clear that clubs do not simply want or can snatch him away,” Elfrink said.

He added that Fenerbahçe’s previous interest in the Brazilian defender did not result in a transfer, and it remains uncertain whether another foreign club will pay €12 million to PSV and convince Mauro to leave.

Meanwhile, Morocco World Cup standout Ismael Saibari is set to complete a €55 million transfer to Bayern Munich on Wednesday, significantly boosting PSV’s financial reserves.

Other players like Ryan Flamingo and Ricardo Pepi are also attracting international interest.

Elfrink emphasized that PSV retains full control over player valuations after the mid-July deadline, allowing the club to reject bids at those fixed prices.
