A previously unreleased demo recording of a song intended for the 1999 James Bond film is heading to auction.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin reportedly wrote and recorded the track, titled The World Is Not Enough, during the band's earliest formative years.

British music producer Chris Allison is offering the rare archive, which includes various studio recordings made before the band released their second EP in October 1999.
The unreleased song features Chris Martin singing alongside an acoustic guitar backing, preserved on a single cassette tape.
It remains uncertain whether the track was ever officially submitted for the Pierce Brosnan film, which ultimately featured a theme song of the same name recorded by Garbage.
The band previously acknowledged their admiration for James Bond cinema on their official website when discussing the song Spies from their 2000 debut album Parachutes.
Auction Includes Early Master Tapes and Unreleased Tracks
The auction also features original master tapes for The Blue Room, which marked their first official release under the Parlophone label after signing in April 1999.
Auction materials describe these master tapes as one of the most significant and direct surviving documents from the formative years of Coldplay.

The collection contains unheard alternate versions of several tracks that later appeared on Parachutes, including Spies, We Never Change, and Shiver.
An unreleased version of the track Bigger Stronger from their early EP is also included in the master tapes.
Another cassette labeled Coldplay Tracks features nine early songs, containing rehearsal versions of Shiver alongside an unreleased track titled Ode to Deodorant.
Additional lots feature live performance recordings from an early concert in Chester, alongside rare promotional CD and vinyl versions of The Blue Room.
The auction items extend to other acts produced by Allison, including original tapes from the Beta Band and archival recordings from the Wedding Present.
