The passenger, identified as Anthony by International Game Technology (IGT), secured the $3,300,117 payout while playing a Wheel of Fortune slot machine.

The massive windfall was triggered by a $10 bet placed in the airport's C Gates area.
Following the significant win, airport representatives expressed their excitement publicly regarding the traveler's fortunate transit stop.

The financial realities of such winnings mean substantial federal deductions apply, though state laws provide some relief.
According to the Internal Revenue Service, gambling payouts exceeding $5,000 face an automatic 24% federal tax withholding, but Nevada does not levy taxes on personal income or lottery winnings.
