The alleged offenses involved a single victim and occurred between 1978 and 1981 at a residential property in Kensington, according to the Metropolitan Police.

The allegations were first reported to police on January 9, 2025, prompting an investigation. Gadd was interviewed on July 22, 2025, and specialist officers are supporting the victim.

Gadd, currently detained at HMP Channings Wood in Devon, is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on August 5.

"Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court and that it is in the public interest to do so," David said.

The Crown Prosecution Service emphasized the ongoing legal process and reminded the public of reporting restrictions.

"It is vital that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings," David added.

Gadd was previously sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2015 for sexually abusing three schoolgirls between 1975 and 1980.
