PSV Eindhoven is facing stiff international competition in its renewed pursuit of AZ Alkmaar midfielder Sven Mijnans, according to a report from Eindhovens Dagblad.
The Dutch champions previously attempted to sign the 26-year-old last season but failed to reach a financial agreement with AZ.

Competition Heats Up
Italian clubs Juventus and Como, along with German side RB Leipzig, have entered the race for the midfielder.
Transfermarkt values Mijnans at €15 million, meaning PSV technical director Earnest Stewart must prepare a significant financial package.
Club watcher Rik Elfrink of Eindhovens Dagblad revealed the history behind the failed negotiations.
"Last year, PSV also offered more than ten million euros for him, but at the time he was not allowed to leave by then technical director Max Huiberts," Elfrink stated.

The transfer market landscape has intensified with Serie A teams emerging as primary threats to the internal Eredivisie transfer.
"In particular, Como and Juventus seem to be strong competitors of PSV," Elfrink added.
While interest from external clubs continues to mount, official confirmations regarding current discussions between AZ and PSV remain scarce.

"That active negotiations have now started between AZ and PSV, no one wants to confirm or deny yet," Elfrink said.
