The 44-year-old broadcaster had been off-air since early February to welcome her second child.

For her return, Vardy wore a floral summer maxi dress with short puff sleeves and black lace embellishment.

The outfit sparked mixed reactions on social media.

Some viewers on X criticized it as too revealing for morning television, while many fans expressed excitement over her reappearance.

During her final broadcast before her absence on Sunday, February 1, Vardy had officially announced her temporary departure.

"Right, well, that's nearly it for us today. And my last show before mat leave!

Bye!" she said.

Johnson offered his well wishes, and Vardy shared an update with her followers regarding the pregnancy.

"We're welcoming a new addition! Thrilled and beyond excited," she said.

Vardy gave birth to her son, Rocky Beau, on February 9, 2026, at the midwife-led Manchester Birth Centre at Wythenshawe.

She shared the news of the water birth on Instagram alongside hospital photographs of her newborn, her second son with husband Aaron Adams following the birth of their first child, Jago, in 2023.

"Rocky Beau 09.02.26. Finally, news of the most beautiful story I can report.

Born in water. We are more in love than you can imagine.

A huge amount of gratitude and appreciation for the staff at the midwife-led Manchester Birth Centre at Wythenshawe," she wrote.
