Arsenal Women have completed the permanent signing of German international forward Selina Cerci on a free transfer. The 26-year-old joins from Frauen-Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
The move was confirmed on Monday, July 6, 2026. Cerci had been with Hoffenheim for two seasons.

According to reports, she chose Arsenal after declining an offer from VfL Wolfsburg. Hoffenheim announced in mid-May that she would not extend her contract.
Cerci scored 34 goals in 47 appearances for Hoffenheim. She finished just behind league top scorer Larissa Mühlhaus last season.
She is the fourth German international to leave the Bundesliga for England this year.

The striker previously played for Bayern Munich II, Werder Bremen, 1. FC Turbine Potsdam, and 1.
FC Köln.
Arsenal head coach Renée Slegers welcomed the addition. “I’m so pleased that Selina will be joining our group.
She has impressive goalscoring numbers and brings good presence, physicality and forward intent.
Combined with her strong work ethic, we feel these qualities make her a great addition to our squad,” said Slegers.
Cerci is Arsenal’s second signing of the summer transfer window.

Media reports indicate the club is also targeting RB Leipzig winger Lisa Baum to replace Beth Mead, who left for Manchester City.
