Amazon MGM Studios has officially begun production on the third season of its hit series "Fallout."
Filming started on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, following the successful second season that ended in February.

Walton Goggins, who plays Cooper Howard and his mutated alter ego The Ghoul, announced the news on social media.
He shared behind-the-scenes images of his makeup transformation with the caption: "Back in the saddle. Fallout Season 3."
Strong Streaming Performance
The early renewal came after the post-apocalyptic adaptation attracted over 100 million viewers during its second season.
This milestone cemented the show's position as a leading franchise for Prime Video.

"We are absolutely thrilled that our global Prime Video customers will be able to delve deeper into the wonderfully surreal and captivating world of Fallout," said Vernon Sanders, global head of television at Amazon MGM Studios.
Sanders praised the creative team: "Jonah, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham have done an exceptional job bringing this beloved video game franchise to vivid life on Prime Video."
Amazon had already renewed the Emmy-nominated series in May 2025, well ahead of the second season's debut.
The upcoming season has added high-profile cast members including Aaron Paul, Emily Mortimer, Manny Jacinto, and Thomasin McKenzie in undisclosed roles.

"Together with our amazing partners at Bethesda Games and Bethesda Softworks, we are delighted to announce a third season of Fallout, well ahead of the much-anticipated debut of Season Two," Sanders added.
