Toho and GKIDS unveiled a new teaser trailer on Thursday, July 9, 2026, for writer-director Takashi Yamazaki's highly anticipated kaiju sequel, Godzilla Minus Zero.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release this November.

Plot and Setting
The story picks up in 1949, two years after the events of the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One.
It follows the Shikishima family as a fully regenerated, larger, and more ferocious Godzilla returns to threaten a recovering postwar Japan.
"There is no third time. Everything ends here," states the promotional material, emphasizing the finality of the conflict.
Returning Cast and New Addition
Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe reprise their roles as Koichi and Noriko Shikishima.
Returning cast members include Hidetaka Yoshioka, Yuki Yamada, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Sakura Ando, and Miou Tanaka.

Veteran actor Min Tanaka joins the cast as Kanji Murakami, a biologist carrying deep psychological scars from the war.
Production Milestone
The production marks the first-ever Japanese film shot entirely for IMAX.
Its predecessor grossed over $116 million worldwide against a $15 million budget and secured an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
Distribution and Release
Amsterdam-based Piece of Magic Entertainment secured a deal with Toho Global to release the film across 46 territories in Europe and beyond starting November 4.
Godzilla Minus Zero will premiere in Japan on November 3, followed by its North American theatrical release on November 6.
