Dutch comedian and presenter André van Duin returned to host NPO Radio 1's Radio Tour de France on Thursday for a special broadcast between 2:00 p.
m. and 3:00 p.

The one-time comeback took place 40 years after van Duin previously hosted the program in 1985.
Special Reunion Broadcast
Dutch public broadcaster NOS organized the special show, pairing van Duin with his longtime friend and collaborator Ferry de Groot.
The duo broadcasted live from the Tour Café inside the Institute for Sound & Vision in Hilversum.
Van Duin and de Groot previously built a widely recognized partnership in the Netherlands as the creators of the iconic De Dik Voormekaar Show.

During his original stint in 1985, van Duin presented the show while de Groot served as producer.
Van Duin brought several of his famous comedic characters to life and relied heavily on improvisation throughout those historic broadcasts.
The broadcaster organized the reunion after listeners submitted their favorite historic clips from Radio Tour de France, with a significant portion featuring van Duin's 1985 episodes.
Presenter Ghislaine Plag subsequently invited van Duin to host once again, an offer he accepted.

The special radio appearance coincides with personal changes for the presenter, who recently decided to leave Amsterdam and listed his canal house for sale at 6 million euros.
