Angelelli Automobili, a small Italian firm, has set out to build a mid-engined Porsche 911, a configuration the German automaker has never offered outside its limited-run GT1 homologation special.
The car, named Project 754, will be available in two versions: the 754 R, which retains a rear-engined layout, and the 754 M, which moves the engine behind the seats.

Powertrain and Weight
Work on the engine is still ongoing.
Angelelli is analyzing 4.075-liter and 4.11-liter flat-six engines, potentially developing custom air intakes, exhaust systems, and cooling, along with ECU tunes.
Power output is expected to range between 700 and 800 horsepower, requiring forced induction to reach those figures.
The Project 754 could weigh as little as 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs), significantly lighter than a current 911 GT3 RS at around 1,450 kg (3,196 lbs).

To achieve this low weight, the car will use carbon fiber body panels and extensive titanium and alloy 3D printing.
The company also employs generative AI and 'Alien Mesh Design' to minimize weight, visible in parts like the lightweight steering wheel.
Exterior and Production
The exterior retains obvious 911 cues but features large air intakes, swollen arches, new side intakes, and a wild rear diffuser and wing.

Total production of the Project 754 could be limited to just 50 units, though the project must first get off the ground.
