India's bowlers restricted Zimbabwe to 125 for 7 before the chase was anchored by Sooryavanshi's maiden international half-century, which he reached in just 18 deliveries.

Raza Urges Patience
Zimbabwe T20I captain Sikandar Raza had earlier urged patience regarding the teenager's development, calling him a "generational talent" if managed well.
"If a 15-year-old kid is playing international cricket, criticising him after just two or three matches isn’t justified," Raza said.
"To see what he has done over the last year, what he has done for India Under-19, and the fact that he made his international debut at the same age, these are no small feats."
Raza also anticipated a competitive series, noting both teams have an equal chance and promising entertaining cricket.
