Samsung Electronics introduced three new foldable smartphones on July 22, 2026: the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8.
The devices feature redesigned form factors and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.

New Models and Design
The Galaxy Z Fold8 adopts a shorter, wider passport-style form factor weighing 201 grams.
It includes a 10:16 cover screen and a 4:3 main display, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 4,800 mAh battery.
The premium Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra measures 4.1 mm when unfolded and weighs 215 grams.
It features an 8-inch main display, a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 is 6.1 mm thick and weighs 180 grams, offering a compact design.

All three models incorporate Flex Titanium technology, using a titanium-alloy film and plate structure to reduce display crease visibility and improve durability.
The displays reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.
AI and Pricing
TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung's Device eXperience Division, said the devices aim to advance mobile intelligence and accessibility.
He noted that as AI becomes more agentic, mobile devices will become the most personal entry point to adaptive experiences.
In North America, the Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at $1,899.99, the Fold8 Ultra at $2,100, and the Flip8 at $1,200.

Pre-orders begin July 23, 2026, with general availability starting August 7, 2026.
