"I'm not used to [that] because I've got so much hair. But this sun just blasted right through my hair, and it roasted my scalp," O'Brien continued.

He rubbed oil into his scalp without considering the podcast camera, resulting in a greasy, slicked-back look he compared to the band Sha Na Na or Frankie Valli.

The comedian joked about his retro aesthetic, saying he looked like he wanted to fight someone in a parking lot with a chain in 1952 or get Rizzo pregnant.

"I'm one of the Thunderbirds that is easily 55 years old," O'Brien added, referencing the classic greaser persona.

The interview with guest Molly Shannon was recorded about a week after the burn, requiring him to maintain the slicked styling during healing.

"Anyway," O'Brien concluded, "I'm a grease ball now, and I'm just gonna keep rubbing oil into my head until this my skull heals."
