Players will not be able to redeem codes purchased outside their home country's PlayStation Network account region.

Region Lock Details
The restrictions apply to both physical boxed copies containing download vouchers and digital codes.
In contrast, Microsoft Xbox Series X and S versions of the game will remain completely region-free, allowing codes from any global market to be redeemed without territorial limitations.

These include separate tiers for the United States and Canada, the United Kingdom, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, and regional clusters across Latin America, Asia, and the EMEA region.
Japanese copies face additional regulatory conditions.
Codes issued in Japan are scheduled to expire 170 days after release, requiring redemption before May 7, 2027, following the planned launch on November 19, 2026.

Players who pre-order Grand Theft Auto 6 across digital or physical channels can begin pre-loading the title starting November 12, 2026, ahead of its official worldwide release on November 19, 2026.
