A 35-year-old man from Enschede, Netherlands, was found dead in a hotel room in Rees, Germany, on Sunday after failing to check out.
Hotel staff entered the room when he did not appear at the front desk. They discovered his body and alerted authorities.

The police unit from Kleve in North Rhine-Westphalia confirmed the victim's identity but declined to provide further details.
