A new Italian boutique automaker has entered the supercar arena with a model that prioritizes analog purity.
Silvestri Automobili, based in Sant'Agata Bolognese, introduced its first vehicle: the MN 40 Tributo.
The car is a tribute to Nicola Materazzi, the engineer behind the Ferrari F40, Lancia Stratos, and Bugatti EB110, who passed away in 2024.
Under the carbon fiber body, designed by artist Francesco Rocco, lies a custom tubular aluminum spaceframe chassis.
The structure follows basic principles set by Materazzi himself, focusing on optimal weight distribution without heavy electronic aids.
Powertrain and Performance
The mid-mounted engine is a naturally aspirated 6.8-liter V12 built by an unnamed Italian supplier.
It revs to 9,500 rpm and produces 888 hp (662 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque.
Power goes to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual transaxle from CIMA of Bologna, featuring an open-gate shifter and a custom clutch.
A torque-sensing differential is also included. For those who prefer, an optional sequential gearbox with paddle shifters is available.
The chassis includes electronically adjustable suspension made from Ergal aluminum alloy. Carbon-ceramic brakes with ten-piston calipers at the front and six-piston calipers at the rear provide stopping power.
Wheels measure 20 inches front and 21 inches rear.
Design and Production
The exterior pays homage to the Ferrari F40 with a fixed rear wing, triple tailpipes, and a black line across the profile.
The front end features a grille inspired by the Venturi 400 GT, headlights reminiscent of the Marussia B1, and lower intakes similar to the W Motors Fenyr SuperSport.
Side intakes and winglets recall the Bertone BAT series.
Silvestri Automobili has shown a full-size static prototype and plans a production run of 15 units over three years.
However, only 13 will be sold to customers; the company will keep the other two. Pricing has not been announced.
