FC Utrecht head coach Anthony Correia has acknowledged his interest in FC Twente winger Younes Taha, but conceded that a move is highly unlikely due to financial constraints.
Speaking on July 28, 2026, Correia praised the 23-year-old Moroccan international but noted that FC Twente's valuation of five million euros is beyond Utrecht's reach.

Taha impressed last season while on loan at FC Groningen, recording six goals and ten assists.
His performances have attracted interest from several clubs, including SC Braga, RB Salzburg, VfL Wolfsburg, Schalke 04, Frosinone, and teams in Saudi Arabia and the United States.
FC Twente technical director Erik ten Hag has offered Taha a three-year contract extension to keep him in Enschede beyond his current deal, which expires in summer 2027.
If Taha stays, he will face competition for minutes under manager John van den Brom, competing with Kristian Hlynsson, Sam Lammers, and Arno Verschueren.
Fan Poll Divided on Taha's Future
A poll by Twente Insite showed 55 percent of fans favor selling Taha if a five-million-euro offer arrives, while 45 percent prefer extending his contract to avoid a free transfer next year.
FC Utrecht recently generated funds by selling Miguel Rodriguez to Alaves for five million euros, but only kept about 2.5 million due to holding 50 percent of his transfer rights.

Correia indicated that internal squad shifts would be necessary before any deal could be considered. "I would always like to work with Younes," he said.
