The Iranian military confirmed its direct involvement in the offensive against regional targets following state media announcements.
"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at US military targets in Jordan," reported Iranian state media Press TV.
Jordanian defense systems intercepted multiple projectiles over its territory shortly after the barrage began, military officials said.
"The Jordanian Armed Forces continue to fulfill their duty to protect the Kingdom's airspace and safeguard its security and sovereignty, and will not hesitate to confront any threat to the country's security or the safety of its citizens," said a Jordanian military spokesperson.
The struck militia infrastructure in Iraq included multiple operational bases and official facilities, according to regional security reports.
"A number of people were killed and wounded," reported the Popular Mobilization Forces in an official statement.
