Investigators temporarily removed the hood to unlock his mobile phone via facial recognition before seizing the device.
During a parallel operation on Jan van Eyckgracht in Eindhoven, authorities forced entry into a residence and deployed a jammer to disrupt mobile signals.
Officers detained a second suspect, who was handcuffed and blindfolded.

According to the Eindhovens Dagblad, the Eindhoven address was previously raided in 2023.
A resident was arrested at that time for supporting the Islamic State and discussing potential attacks on nightclubs and police stations.
That individual received a 112-day jail sentence and 200 hours of community service in 2024.
A third teenage suspect was taken into custody in Alkmaar, though operational details regarding that arrest remain undisclosed.
