PSV Eindhoven has made a formal inquiry to RB Leipzig regarding the availability of defender Lutsharel Geertruida, according to Eindhovens Dagblad.
The Eredivisie champions are looking to strengthen their defense ahead of the new season.

Technical director Earnest Stewart is targeting reinforcements for both central defense and right-back positions. Geertruida, a Netherlands international, is listed among the primary candidates.
The transfer faces significant financial hurdles, as RB Leipzig reportedly demands a fee around 20 million euros. The 26-year-old remains under contract until 2029.
A temporary loan deal could present a potential alternative for PSV. However, it remains unconfirmed whether the German Bundesliga club would agree to another loan stint.

Geertruida spent the previous season on loan at Premier League club Sunderland, which ultimately opted not to secure his services on a permanent basis.
The defender previously developed through Feyenoord's youth academy, eventually serving as captain while winning an Eredivisie title, KNVB Cup, and Johan Cruyff Shield.
In addition to Geertruida, PSV is reportedly considering free-agent option Filip Kostic as part of its ongoing defensive restructuring.
