Hamas has stated that its disarmament in Gaza will only proceed if Israel fully withdraws its troops from the territory.
The announcement came from Ghazi Hamad, a senior Hamas negotiator.

Hamad said the group's compliance is directly linked to Israel's implementation of its obligations under a proposed agreement.
He emphasized that the deal includes a clear provision requiring Israel to commit to and execute its part.
"If Israel does not implement the agreement, neither will we," Hamad asserted.
Administrative and Security Arrangements
Under the proposed framework, a National Committee for Administration of Gaza will oversee the cataloguing and storage of weapons.
Hamad clarified that Israel will not intervene in the disarmament process.
The agreement also includes provisions for ending the war, the entry of the national committee into Gaza, Israeli withdrawal, reconstruction, and the deployment of international forces.
Hamad stressed that these components must be executed as an integrated plan.
Other armed militias in Gaza are also expected to decommission their forces. Hamad noted that technical negotiations on implementation protocols will require further discussions among international mediators.

"This process will take about 14 days, or perhaps longer," he said, adding that every detail must be agreed upon.
US President Donald Trump claimed that his international Board of Peace has reached a framework agreement securing total disarmament of armed factions in Gaza.
He described it as a critical step toward a new Palestinian government and enhanced security for Israel.
Trump outlined a phased approach involving international peacekeeping forces and local police development.
As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces would withdraw, and an International Stabilization Force would work with a new Palestinian police force.
Trump reiterated that the threat from Gaza would not be allowed to rebuild, emphasizing that Gaza would be governed by a new Palestinian government serving its people.
Meanwhile, regional tensions remain high.
