The dress showcased a plunging neckline and a three-dimensional skirt with prominent side slits, creating a dramatic silhouette.
Theron accessorized with white gold link earrings and platinum Elsa Peretti cuff bracelets and diamond-encrusted rings from Tiffany & Co., valued at over $50,000.
Stylist Leslie Fremar curated the look for the occasion.
Family Reflections
The Beijing appearance followed an earlier premiere in New York City, where Theron walked the red carpet with her two adopted daughters, 14-year-old Jackson and 12-year-old August.
Theron adopted Jackson in 2012 and expanded her family with August in 2015.

In an interview, Theron spoke about her long-standing commitment to building her family through adoption.
"Even when I was in relationships, I was always honest with my partners, that adoption was how my family would look one day," she said.
She emphasized that adoption was her primary choice, not a fallback. "This was definitely not a second option for me.
It was always my first," Theron added.
