Kirklees Council will hold its annual Yorkshire Day festival on Sunday, August 2, at Oakwell Hall & Country Park.
The free, family-friendly event runs from 11 a. m.

in the historic Elizabethan parkland.
This year's celebration is set to be the greenest yet.
Organizers have integrated several environmental measures, including shuttle bus services from Birstall, expanded bicycle parking, off-site recycling, reduced printed materials, and green energy use.
Live Music and Local Attractions
The festival features performances by regional acts such as Flat Cap Brass, Hardeep Sahota, The Crescendos, Penny, Hebble, Land Lubbers, and Al's Django Party.
The Yorkshire Makers' Market will host over 50 local vendors, and a dog show by Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue is planned.
Interactive entertainment includes poetry sessions at The Poetry Takeaway van with Jo Bell, Matt Abbott, Erin Bolens, and Jack Collins.
Traditional sporting contests will be managed by Larkin About.

Campfire songs will be led by the 20th Batley Scouts and Explorer Scouts. Children's activities come from Boom Chikka Boom, and Pif-Paf will present environmental performances.
Inside Oakwell Hall, visitors can see Summit Flags from the 2014 Tour de Yorkshire art initiative by artists Wendy Meadley and Helen Davies.
The WOVEN team will display knitted art installations across the grounds.
Local residents shared their appreciation for the county's culture. "Everyone is so friendly and outgoing.
That's what really makes it. It's beautiful as well, of course," said one local couple.
Council officials highlighted the festival's focus on sustainability and community.
"Our Yorkshire Celebration at Oakwell Hall is one of the highlights of our year, and I'm thrilled to see it return bigger, greener, and more inclusive than ever," said Rachel Spencer-Henshall, Deputy CEO of Kirklees Council.
"This event brings together everything we love about Kirklees – creativity, community spirit, and pride in our Yorkshire heritage.
