A 27-year-old Toronto man is facing 11 criminal charges after Ontario Provincial Police used a tire deflation device to stop a stolen vehicle on Highway 11.
The incident began on July 30, 2026, when Huntsville OPP received a report around 9:30 a. m.
A suspect armed with a weapon approached a driver on Main Street East and demanded her keys.
The suspect fled in the stolen vehicle at high speed. No injuries were reported.
Multiple OPP detachments, along with the K9 Unit and Emergency Response Team, joined the search.
At approximately 10:15 a. m.
, officers spotted the vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 11 near Canning Road in Gravenhurst. They successfully deployed a spike belt.
Police brought the vehicle to a safe stop and took the driver into custody without further incident.
The suspect was identified as Kyle Duffy-Radzikowski of Toronto. He was held for a bail hearing.
Charges Laid
Duffy-Radzikowski faces charges including robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operation while prohibited, and driving while under suspension.
He is also charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of failing to comply with a release order, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information to contact Huntsville OPP or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
