Huawei and BAIC have unveiled their first luxury SUV under the Stelato brand: the G9. It’s a large, tech-focused vehicle that aims to blend adventure with comfort.
The G9 measures 204.9 inches long, 80.7 inches wide, and 74.6 inches tall, with a wheelbase of 124.4 inches.

That makes it longer than a Land Rover Defender 110, though it sits lower and has a longer wheelbase than either the Defender 110 or 130.
Two Powertrain Options
Stelato offers the G9 as either a range-extender electric vehicle (EREV) or a battery-electric vehicle (BEV).
The EREV combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 75 kWh battery pack and two electric motors that produce a combined 586 hp.
Stelato claims this setup can travel up to 849 miles (1,366 km) between refueling and recharging stops.
The BEV version uses a larger 120 kWh battery and the same dual-motor setup, also delivering 586 hp.
Its estimated range is 452 miles (728 km).

While charging times haven’t been announced, the G9 features an 800-volt electrical architecture, which should support fast DC charging.
Visually, the G9 doesn’t break new ground, but silver accents, sharp LED lighting, and a LiDAR sensor give it a distinctive look.
The headlights can even project images onto the road ahead.
Stelato is also positioning the G9 for outdoor enthusiasts, with an available rooftop tent and awning.
Inside, the G9 offers both two-row (2+3) and three-row (2+2+2) seating layouts.
The cabin is dominated by a three-display dashboard, similar to what you’d find in a Mercedes-Benz.

Pre-sales have started in China, with the G9 priced from 439,800 yuan, which is just over $65,000.
