Peugeot has revised its earlier commitment to sell only electric vehicles in Europe by 2030.
The French brand now plans a mix of electric, petrol, and hybrid models, with seven new or updated vehicles slated for the region.

The announcement comes as Peugeot leverages its position within Stellantis to access new technologies first.
The company sells about 1.1 million cars annually and aims to reach 1.5 million by 2030.
New Electric Models and More
The rollout begins with the new electric 208 and 2008, which will be joined by updated petrol and hybrid versions of the same cars.
These will be the first Stellantis vehicles to use the new STLA One architecture and STLA Brain electronic systems.

Peugeot is also developing replacements for the 308 hatchback, 308 SW estate, and the 408.
Additionally, two new models built with Dongfeng in China are planned, previewed by the Concept 6 and Concept 8.
CEO Alain Favey emphasized the importance of distinctive design.

“The important thing for me is on the first look at any new Peugeot, people have to be able to say within a tenth of a second: ‘That can only be a Peugeot’,” he said.
