A single-owner 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series Sahara is heading to auction with 999,999 km (621,370 miles) on the odometer.

The SUV retains its original factory-installed engine and gearbox, a testament to Toyota's reputation for durability.

A Life on the Road

Gary Driscoll, a regional grain and stock agent from Nhill, Victoria, bought the 4WD new in April 2010.

Over 16 years, he averaged more than 180 km (112 miles) daily on rural backroads and highways.

He retired the Land Cruiser in November 2025, deliberately stopping one kilometer short of the seven-digit mark.

Driscoll parked it about 300 meters (1,000 feet) before the milestone so the next owner can enjoy the final stretch.

Original Powertrain and Service History

The 4.5-liter V8 biturbo diesel produces 261 hp (195 kW / 265 PS) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.

It is paired with a six-speed automatic and full-time 4WD system.

The vehicle carries 100 dealer service stamps, averaging a check-up every 10,000 km (6,214 miles).

Steady long-distance cruising and disciplined maintenance proved key to its longevity.

Auction Details

The Land Cruiser is now listed with Auctions Plus, fitted with a bull bar and auxiliary LEDs.

The owner expects it to fetch between AU$20,000-30,000 (US$14,100-21,100).

It remains unclear whether the odometer will reset to zero or freeze at 999,999 km once the million mark is crossed.
