Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy avoided a major injury after X-rays on his right wrist came back negative.

Muncy exited Friday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the eighth inning after a pitch struck his wrist.

According to Jack Harris of the California Post, evaluations ruled out a fracture, but the team will manage the immediate aftermath of the impact.

Lineup Changes Ahead

Manager Dave Roberts said Muncy is dealing with swelling and will likely sit out the next few games.

Santiago Espinal is expected to start at third base during Muncy's absence, with Miguel Rojas also available as an infield option.

The 35-year-old slugger's injury forces a temporary adjustment to the Dodgers' lineup.
