A salmonella outbreak linked to instant noodles manufactured in Ukraine has spread across 14 European Union countries.

Health authorities reported 106 confirmed cases from November 2025 to June 2026.

Forty-nine individuals required hospital treatment due to the severity of the illness. The majority of those affected are children and young people.

Contaminated Noodles Identified

Microbiological data confirmed the connection.

The outbreak strain was found in chicken-flavored noodles and spicy chicken noodles of the same trademark from the Ukrainian manufacturer.

The infections in European nations were traced to the instant food brand "Riva." The findings were reported in June 2026.

Separately, a related contamination event occurred in Moldova. Diplomats contracted salmonella during a reception at the Israeli Embassy.

The catering for the event was provided by the Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel.

A total of 26 people were hospitalized under suspicion of salmonellosis following various events at the venue.
